    The Simpsons Movie

    hello fellow deviants!! I just saw the Simpsons Movie last night, and it was fantastic! Matt Groening was there, as well as my good buddy, David Silverman( the director)... It opens on Friday, so go and check it out. I'm gonna try to get permission to post some of the drawings I did for some of the scenes....but if not, just look out for my name in the credits, under 'animation';) Woo hoo!!!

    On another Simpsons note, some of you guys might be lucky enough to live near a real live Kwiki-Mart, so ya gotta go and see that too! I can proudly say that I designed the overall look of it, especially the characters. Say hi to Homer while your there, he's eating hot dogs in the back:)

    Wait, YOU worked on "The Simpsons Movie?" It seems like such a different style. Anyway, that's great! What's it like? Is the humor any good? I kind of feel the new epsodes are lagging in quality a bit, even when there are so many things today that are ripe for parody (the Bush Administration, Scientology, Paris Hilton), that haven't even been touched. They just seem to have lost their edge and witiness, almost like they're trying to catre to younger audiences. My friend Joe is especially excited to see it (Matt Groening is his idol), he's been waiting for it for over eight years, and we're both approaching it with cautious optimism. I just hope it's good. The trailers looked cool.
