This is an illustration I did a few months ago, which is basically a digital collage. Everything is 'built' from scratch, from photos I took, and others I found online. What I was really trying to do here was to make an 'ad' for a futuristic resort. It's amazing to think that not only in the future there'll be flying vehicles, but that there'll be brochures for them as well!:) Hope y'all like it...

There's an absolutely incredible amount of detail in this. To me it looks like quite a gothic scene, probably because of the green lights. The ship designs look very futuristic though. How long have been matte painting?

thanks guys! I guess I've been into the whole matte thing for about six months now, it's a fun way to work off photos.
dude this is amazing. The detail is freaking awesome.

About how may hours did you spend on it?

Turned out pretty nice for a collage. It must have taken some time to find all the right photos. Good job man. I like the designs for the big cruise ship things.
I'd say this thing took a good eight hours. A big part of it was distorting/free transforming the images in PS, and of course lots of gradient work, hue, and level changes.
the most amazing piece you've done so far i'd say.
